Jack Flaherty is a pitcher with the St. Louis Cardinals. He was selected in the first round (34th overall) of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Cardinals.. He made his MLB debut three years later on September 1, 2017 against the San Francisco Giants. 

In 2019, Flaherty's second full season, he established himself as one of the best pitchers in baseball, finishing fourth in the National Cy Young race after going 11-8 with a 2.75 ERA with 231 strikeouts in his 33 starts. He was named the National Pitcher of the Month in 2019 for both August and September. 

On today's episode, Matt and Leslee talk to Jack Flaherty about youth baseball, the influence his mother had on his life, how he is growing in his faith journey and the importance of using his platform to treat others as he'd want to be treated.
