In this episode of The Puck Authority Podcast, David Ciss and Justin Levine discuss the state of professional women's hockey with the announcement on Wednesday morning of the NWHL's expansion to Toronto. As such, we discuss the impacts that this has on the growth of the game, but not only just that strictly, but what this means for the PWHPA. We sit down to discuss implications and what the main goal at the end of the day is. While looking at both sides objectively, we speak of Gerry Dee's comments and how that's only added fuel to the fire. This led to comments from Anya Packer who spoke of the criticism with Steve Dangle on Sportsnet.

With the NWHL tossing a sixth team in the mix for season six, we discuss what the future could look like if and when a pro league comes to reality. Of course this comes with a timeline which David and Justin tossed around very lightly. After Justin spoke with a handful of GTA players this week from the PA, he sat down with Mélodie on Monday night to discuss why it is they are doing what they're doing. Melodie was lovely to speak with and was truthful with a straightforward answer.

Daoust is a two-time Olympian who won gold while representing Team Canada. She is also a former member of Les Canadiennes de Montreal. Today, she plays with the PA and is a part time assistant with the Montreal Carabins. Previously, Mélodie played in the OUA East with the Martlets at McGill.

Thank you again to Melodie and to Chelsea Purcell for helping put this together. Enjoy this special episode, No. 13 of The Puck Authority Podcast! :)
