Dr Kevin Jiang is Kuang Yaming Distinguished Professor in Applied Linguistics in the School of Foreign Language Education at Jilin University. Kevin’s research interests include disciplinary discourse, corpus studies and EAP/ESP, and his publications have widely appeared in major applied linguistics journals. His latest book is “Metadiscursive nouns: Interaction and persuasion in disciplinary writing” (Routledge, 2022). At Jilin University, Kevin teaches courses on "Corpora and Discourse Studies", "Academic Writing and International Publication" and "Core University English" at both faculty and university level. One of Kevin’s current projects is and English-medium Education in Higher Education (EMHE) China Research Partnership Grant in collaboration with British Professor Hilary Nesi of Coventry University.
