Jane Harper was born in Manchester in the UK, and moved to Australia with her family at age eight. She worked for several years as a senior news journalist for the Hull Daily Mail, before moving back to Australia in 2008. She worked first on the Geelong Advertiser, and in 2011 took up a role with the Herald Sun in Melbourne. She has since become a best selling author, and most notably for her 2016 book, The Dry. Ahead of her release of her new book The Survivors, Ben and Sarah sat down with Jane to discuss the book, her love of Tasmania, how having children changed her crime writing, seeing her work translated to film, and more.
