Fly Fish Ohio presents Joe's Smelt, a versatile and productive streamer pattern!

Welcome to the show, It's February 2008. We're a little late getting this fly posted, but we're sure you'll find it worth the wait! This month we'll tie Joe's Smelt, a classic New England streamer designed for landlocked salmon. This is just a killer pattern for most Midwestern flows where there is a population of striped shiners - and that's almost any river that holds smalmouth bass! This is also a great pattern for the Great Lakes fishery. You'll be casting this one all season!
