Originally aired Monday, April 30, 2007: GUEST: Rev. Janette Wilson of Operation Push, part of Jesse Jackson's Rainbow PUSH organization. They talk about women preachers, whether she was truly called by God (at one point she adamantly refuses to discuss that question any further). They discuss whether black single mothers leading the homes is the source of anger among black youth. Jesse points out that the anger of a man is that of a woman, and she asks, "Where do you get all this stuff from?" She thinks he's making it up. Rev. Wilson and Jesse debate whether we should fight back against radical Islamic terror against us for supporting Israel, such as by Osama bin Ladin. She claims that those radicalized terrorists are not actually real Muslims. She protested the war in Iraq, saying we're only there for the oil. She says we resolve matters with talk, not with weapons. She opposes the death penalty and thinks the U.S. should have consulted with the world court about Saddam Hussein's fate. They discuss what love is, and what Jesus Christ was about. Rev. Janette Wilson claims "driving while black" and other myths are real, and indicate racist discrimination against blacks, while whites get away with crimes. They touch on the April 2007 Don Imus controversy, the legendary radio show host who was fired after referring to Rutgers University basketball players, black women, as "nappy headed hos." They both decried black rappers setting a poor example, such as Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, and others. She quotes, "Fo shizzle my nizzle," and of course "b****es and wh***s." She says she enjoys talking with Jesse and hopes to debate him in-person sometime.
