On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank mentions an article on the rise of suicides in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), suicide rates have gone up in every state over the last several years. It is the 10th leading cause of death in America. Some would think that suicide is a secular problem, but the truth of the matter is that suicide is not relegated to any particular segment of society. Hank is frequently asked if suicide is an unforgivable sin, and while it is not unforgivable, it is a direct attack on the sovereignty of the very one who knit us together in our mother’s womb. Hank also shares the Alabama Supreme Court’s decision in the case of Jessie Phillips v. State of Alabama, in which they ruled that the value of the life of an unborn child is no less than the value of the lives of other persons. In a concurring opinion, Justice Tom Parker boldly called on the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Hank also answers the following questions:
What is Universalism?
In John 9, why did the disciples think that the man born blind had sinned?
Why did Jesus heal the blind man at Bethsaida twice?
Was Jesus’ temptation similar to ours? How could that be if he didn’t have the original sin that we were born with?
