I get so many requests from individuals that want me to mediate, thinking that I will act as their attorney. That is not how mediation works. No way, no how, can a mediator act as an attorney in mediation, he/she can't give you legal advice. Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution resolving disputes between two or more parties with concrete effects. Typically, a third party, the mediator, assists the parties to negotiate a settlement. Mediation can be used to resolve disputes of any magnitude. Mediation has a 85% success rate. Use mediation to resolve disputes, it is far less expensive then going to court. If you have any questions on mediation, send me a text to 818.252.5682. www.lodge-co.com
