Excessive Rain and Flash Flooding in Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley - Excessive rain and flash flood threats are expected through Wednesday from the southern Plains to the Lower Mississippi Valley. Along a corridor from northern Texas to western and northern Arkansas, continuous thunderstorm activity and rain will produce flash flooding. Parts of this region is already quite saturated, especially in western Arkansas where recent rain from Laura impacted the state.
