Poor Air Quality in the West; Isolated Flash Flooding in the East - Improved fire weather conditions can be expected in the Western U.S. toward the weekend, however there will be unhealthy air quality and reduced visibility from smoke. There will be areas of heavy rain and isolated flash flooding in the mid-Mississippi Valley, the Central Appalachians, and the Mid-Atlantic.
