Most know Genesis 3 because it chronicles the fall of man. But it also contains some other very important truths. Namely that God desired to clothe Adam and Eve in robes of kingly authority. Adam and Eve needed the knowledge of good and evil to rule. But they decided on their own, instead of God providing it when they needed it. This is reminder to us that being part of God's kingdom is about patience and surrender rather than dominance and seizing authority before you're ready for it.
