Happy New Year and shout out to Cliff Ravenscraft. Thanks for bringing in the show Cliff. You rock! Thanks for the feedback from episode 041, especially the Great Show comment from Christian on Facebook. Thanks, man. In this episode, we take a look at 1o ways you can get out of your own business funk. We also answer a listener question about being a non-native english speaking blogger. In This Show… Lots of feedback from the funk episode. It seems that lots of people deal with business funk from time to time, so I prepared a list of 11 ways to beat the funk. 1. Name it — you can't fix something that you don't realize is happening to you. This is a good reason to have goals and benchmarks and scorecards. You need an early detection 2. Own it — don't make excuses. Your funk, your responsibility Source URL: http://www.highexistence.com/choose-happiness-5-ways-to-get-out-of-a-funk Take Responsibility Nothing can bring you happiness but yourself. -Ralph Waldo Emerson Choose to be happy. Choose to win. Choose to beat the funk. 3. Reconnect with your vision — why are you doing what your trying to do? What does success look like? Imagine the success. 4. Stop bad habits — eating, not sleeping, watching TV, not keeping commitments. Source URL: http://www.elephantjournal.com/2012/12/6-steps-to-getting-out-of-a-funk-catherine-la-o/ Don’t turn on the TV. It steals your time, and it blocks your creativity. 5. Start some good behaviors Source URL: http://www.elephantjournal.com/2012/12/6-steps-to-getting-out-of-a-funk-catherine-la-o/ Exercise. Michael Hyatt Source URL: http://michaelhyatt.com/how-to-get-out-of-that-funk.html Michael was in a funk and his wife said “Go Run”. Michael says: When I called her an hour later, everything had changed. My emotional state had shifted—dramatically. I was focused, alert, and upbeat. I had a can-do attitude. This was a good reminder of something we had learned years ago from Tony Robbins: Emotion is created by motion. Bonus behavior — Declutter. 6. Celebrate some of your successes Write down three things you are thankful for or that you have accomplished. Quickly, the first things that come to mind. Now, stick the list in plain view for the rest of the day. When you accomplish something, celebrate. 7. Review success stories and case studies Lot's of them available. Check out Internet Business Mastery. 8. Connect with your support network — spouse, friends, etc. Connect with someone that always cheers you up. Manage Stress I'm not a huge Huff fan, but this is a neat article Source URL: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/brant-secunda-and-mark-allen/new-years-resolutions_b_1139090.html Here is what Mark and Brant have to say about stress: Chronic stress produces high cortisol levels that gnaw away at your health. Chronically high cortisol will make you sick, physically and emotionally.
