Richard Coekin leads the influential network of Co-Mission churches in London. He’s been involved with the launch of many churches and ministries, including the London Men's Convention, London Women's Convention, the 9:38 Ministry Training Strategy, Passion for Life Ministry and most recently Planting Collective. Grace One of the key leaders of Evangelicalism in Great Britain Richard Coekin shares a super helpful story about how he was gently corrected about the lack of grace in his preaching, and how his preaching changed as a result. Distancing his church from a revisionist Bishop Plus Richard speaks about how Western Church is following in the tragic trajectory of the Anglican Church of England. It was helpful to hear from someone who is standing for the gospel in increasingly difficult circumstances. Jonathan Fletcher I also asked Richard about the recent abuse allegations surrounding Jonathan Fletcher. Richard speaks about how crucial it is to listen to the victims, and how wrong it is when a senior senior powerful character pressures younger people (all adults) to act in a particular way. Richard observes there can be serious issues of manipulation, power and embarrassment. He says some of the things that went on were totally unacceptable and very serious. Support the show
