Is it an Impossible task to bring a successful tv show to film? Come with us as we dissect the first Mission: Impossible movie! For the most part, Spy Movies have had their origin from books: James Bond, Bourne Identity, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan stories, John Le Carre’s books, etc. However, in 1996, Paramount Pictures and Cruise/Wagner Productions, released the first film of the Mission: Impossible series, based on the TV show.
