Only the most naïve could have ever believed Joe Biden wouldn’t pardon his son Hunter—despite the President’s repeated assertions to the contrary. There was no way the President was going to let his son go to jail.
But President Trump can turn an egregious misuse of the presidential pardon power into something positive for the country.
With the pardon, Hunter’s rights against self-incrimination are gone. He must testify.
President Trump should make it clear he isn’t interested in prosecuting any of the Bidens. Rather, his interest is in exposing the corruption that has been business as usual in DC for far too long.
The verdict of history is far more important than the verdict of a jury. And the sordid history of the Biden family business needs the disinfectant that only a thorough, transparent public airing can provide.
The American people deserve no less.
