When you talk to folks about Christianity, you often hear complaints that they don't want to follow a God that has a bunch of rules and regulations and makes people "not live their truth." You also hear from folks who walk away from the faith say that they are like a butterfly — they finally are free from their tightly bound cocoon and can fly free in the world. You also hear folks say that the fear of judgment is just Christian's ways of control people's lives and causing guilt and shame when there shouldn't be. But is this indeed true?
