Futurist Trond Arne Undheim interviews Christian Nagel, Founder of Venture Lane, business angel and expert on go-to-market strategies, communication and international rollout.

In this conversation, they talk about tribal community building, networking, funding, scaling startups mid- and post-COVID-19. They cover startup hubs, what it takes to achieve critical mass, innovating in edge cities, the EU vs. US vs. Asia, learning from failure, angel investing, mentoring and the tech community in Boston.

The takeaway is that you cannot get around the human factor in community building. Protecting the positive aspects of tribalism whilst still achieving scale is key to all startup ecosystems, particularly as COVID-19 limits traditional informal meetups.
