James’ NDE began after his exploratory surgery by waking up on a ledge no wider than one to two inches. His feet felt as if he was standing on the edge of a cliff. He felt a wall behind him, and flattened himself to it as best he could. He was in a void, completely black. But yet – it felt endless. He saw nothing, only black. Yet he could feel there was a down, there was an up, a ledge, and a wall. He did not know who he was, or how he had gotten there, all he could think of was ‘DON’T FALL.’
Della M had just been moved into her room after surgery. The nurse was checking her vital signs but could no longer get a pulse.
