Marissa Knox is a PhD candidate at University of Texas at Austin with a research focus in self-compassion. She is a trained Mindful Self-Compassion™ teacher, a program developed by Dr. Kristin Neff, Ph.D. who is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on self-compassion, being the first one to research, define and measure compassion over a decade ago.

Our conversation explores self-compassion, offering an approach you can use in your own life to meet yourself with kindness and understanding when confronted with personal failings or difficulties. We also discuss how this practice can impact all parts of your life, and help you spot the “treasures” being offered.

Marissa teaches yoga and meditation online, and on retreats. Join her online for a 2HR LIVE workshop on July 8, 2018, ‘The Path to Self-Compassion and An Open Heart’.
