Pride Series Day 12 we talk to Maia Linnet a transgender woman from Denmark. Maia is a 32-year old psychology student from Denmark, who also happens to be a transgender woman. She started her transition in 2014, and since then has been involved in both local and national LGBT+ activism, often targeted towards improving the rights and resources for trans people in the healthcare system. She has participated in numerous debates on inclusion, intersectionality and awareness. Maia has also been in national papers and on television telling her story, and she aims to use her master's degree to further argue for a better world for marginalised people of all kinds. She has been an LGBT+ counsellor for 6 years this fall, and has been a driving force in initiatives aimed towards providing a safe space for trans people to explore and develop their identities. She currently lives in the second-largest city in Denmark, together with her girlfriend of three years, and her cat of almost eight years. She sings in a church choir, and enjoys music in most forms. She has just learned how to crochet, and says she is very bad at it. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/transcasterradio)
