The Gospel is God's idea, initiative, plan and promise to redeem, save, heal, deliver, bless, and restore sinful and estranged mankind to Himself through the person and finished work of Jesus Christ. This is why it is called "the Gospel of God" (Lk. 1:67-75, Rom. 1:1-4).
Therefore, God does not need to be moved, compelled, cajoled, persuaded, manipulated, or motivated by your self-righteousness, performance, gifts, or good works in order to save, deliver, heal, favour, or bless you.
This profound teaching (Part 2 in a series of 5) aptly explains why the Gospel is the Gospel of God, the Gospel of the Grace of God, and the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.
