Once in while, it's hard to tell whether Japanese creators are being ironic or just creating homages. The Magical Boy anime is ready to watch in its one-season entirety on ...but why would you do that to yourself? Other than its surprising darkness in its humor on love and death, this parody of magical girl anime is not as fan-servicy as Free, but just as ridiculous and light-hearted.
