HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS? OR SHELTER, CRISIS AND FEAR? We’ve all heard there is more domestic violence during the holidays, but is that really true? Is there more assault, more victimization, more seeking shelter because of this time of year? How does this season affect victims, survivors and their families? Adam Dodge, Legal Director with Laura’s House shelter in California, has seen changes and similarities across all times of year when it comes to intimate partner violence and its fallout. He has been involved in raising awareness about the issue as well as working as a lecturer and speaker on behalf of Laura’s House and on domestic violence in general. Join us as we talk about the reality of this merry time of year when it comes to victims, shelters, services, and families.
