One of the realities that we deal with as we grow older is muscle loss. We can plan to lose 3% to 5% of our muscle mass each decade after the age of 30. Often overlooked in that loss of muscle is our loss of power, the ability to move a given load quickly. We need to have muscle power. Exercise physiologist, Ryan Otterson shares several resistance training techniques that any of us can do to maintain and even increase our power as we age.
