COVID19 is a terrible scourge. But it has allowed many people to have cosmetic surgery because so many people are telecommuting - performing their jobs from home. And so many procedures now can be performed with just a day or two lost from work - as long as no one sees you. And with masks, even procedures that cause bruising of the face can be hidden. Those are some of the reasons cosmetic surgery is so popular now. We also discussed the chemical in hair dye and henna dye - it's not as safe as you would like. And tonight, my special guest was Dr. Robert Grant, Chief of Plastic Surgery at both Columbia and Cornell. Dr. Grant discussed the management of plastic surgery patients during this epidemic. We also discussed breast reconstruction with smooth implants.
