Steven "Bangarang" Snyder is a triple crown long distance hiker who has been a long time Leave No Trace advocate. He is part of Granite Gear's Grounds Keepers team who are leaving our wild places better through advocacy and packing out trash found on the trail. Currently living in Tucson, he is focusing on Southern Arizona trails and recreation areas as his area of clean up and providing LNT outreach with the AZT and PCT trail communities. In this episode, we begin with Steven and I catching up on what things are currently like for him and others in the Arizona community due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He provides some advice for would be thru hikers and perceptive on the importance of getting off trail to protect our Trail Angels and the at risk population in trail towns that support hikers.
