Prism Radio

Jan 09 2017 66 mins 1

Prism Radio was started in June of 2010 and although I have gone off air few times for extended period of time it was mostly based on time availability or funding availability. So, I plan on starting the show back up sometime in January but there is a lot of planning to do so until I know I am ready I won't release the date. I hope to air a show every other Sunday Night at 9:00pm Eastern Time. I will add the show schedule on this page and on my website: www.hollyknightproductions.com as they are created. Most shows will be interviewing guests from all sorts of topics but, on occasion, I might just do a commentary. Details for each show will be available on this page and my website. I hope to have shows that inform and entertain. Feel free to call in live with comments or questions during our live shows. Please be patient as it might take a little while to have you on air. You can listen to the show as you wait. Also, if you want to be a guest (or suggest a guest) on the show, email Holly at [email protected]

PD-32 Allyson Robinson

This bio was taken from the HRC Website...Allyson Robinson joined the Human Rights Campaign as Associate Director of Diversity in 2008 to lead the organization and its volunteer base in promoting awareness of transgender issues and to ensure that all program areas demonstrate measurable commitment to transgender equality and inclusion. A native of Scranton, Pa., Robinson is a 1994 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where she majored in engineering physics. After an internship at Los Alamos National Laboratory, she was commissioned as an officer in the Army and served with PATRIOT missile units in the United States, Germany and Saudi Arabia. She also worked for NATO as an air defense evaluator and advised the Royal Saudi Air Force on missile defense tactics, techniques and procedures. Robinson resigned her commission in 1999 to pursue a calling to Christian ministry. After her ordination, she served as pastor-teacher to churches in the Portuguese Azores and in central Texas. Her ministry work focused on raising awareness of systemic poverty and the intersecting systems of oppression that create and sustain it, while working to organize responses to poverty at the local, regional, national and international levels. She earned a master of divinity degree in theology, with a capstone emphasis in social justice, from Baylor University's George W. Truett Theological Seminary in 2007. Robinson lives with her wife and their four children in Gaithersburg, Md. This was such a great interview as Allyson was wonderful and expect her back sometime in the fall.

Holly @ Knight (Andrea James)

Here is what is said about Andrea on the Deep Stealth Website… “Andrea James has spent her career crafting communication that makes a difference, and now she’s applying her expertise in Hollywood. After graduating with a Master’s Degree in English from University of Chicago, she wrote ads for ten years at top Chicago agencies. Her ads for blue-chip clients premiered on the Super Bowl and other major television events and were frequently among audience favorites. She has also created free websites for consumers considered among the best in their categories. Having established a loyal following on the internet, Andrea branched out to film and television with her business partner Calpernia Addams. In 2003, they created Deep Stealth Productions, with the goal to counter the dismal depiction of transgendered people in the media with more accurate and positive portrayals. Andrea produced Deep Stealth’s sold-out V-Day LA 2004 benefit production of “The Vagina Monologues,” under the direct guidance of playwright Eve Ensler and mentor Jane Fonda. The event was featured in the documentary Beautiful Daughters. Andrea has made numerous film and television appearances, including The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, the sitcom Two and a Half Men, The Insider with Pat O’Brien, and the documentary Middle Sexes. Andrea stars in the popular instructional video Finding Your Female Voice, and her work as a voice coach for trans women led to consulting with star Felicity Huffman for the feature film Transamerica. Andrea consulted on the script with Felicity and appears in the opening scene of that film as the voice coach. Andrea directed the 2007 short “Casting Pearls” and and the 2009 film Transproofed.” More information and links can be found on Andrea’s Page on www.prismdirection.com . I hope you can join Andrea on Holly @ Knight on Tuesday night the 19th at 10:00pm.
