My favorite podcast. Loved it when the audio was rough and just creepy one-offs. Every season it's grown in writing, quality, and delivery. Character-driven, unique, loving, funny, and unsettling. Charmingly epic.

This started out quite gently then got more and more creepy. "Too deep" was really scary and disturbing. Doesn't help that I listen to it in bed at night. Can this be made into a TV series 🙏

Amazing.

Too difficult to follow for the amount of satisfaction I got out of it. Also, intentionally poor audio quality is still poor audio quality.

Very entertaining show. Just finished up through the second season and the production quality, individual stories, and meta narrative are all top notch. I usually don't get into these kinds of shows but the content and consistently high production values have converted me. Would easily recommend to anyone looking for a top notch horror themed story podcast.

The story, the characters, the soundscape....everything is perfect! 😍

APerson128 Aug 16 2020
An excellent and deeply creepy podcast that doesn't get it's horrors from jumps cares or gore, which is very refreshing.

The sound design and production value are top notch, and the stories are eerie and spooky! My favorite horror podcast!

Great sound-scape

With the exception of the last season, you can either listen to random episodes individually or from the start, following threads that tie together into the long-running plot. The episodes are great - with a very small number of exceptions, they're all great for a relisten after hearing other episodes.

I love this show the story is engaging and exciting. The horror is done well and I am always kept guessing where the plot will go

I listen to a lot of podcasts, but this one is my favorite. I love the characters, the story, and the way everything ties together. If you like mystery and horror fiction, definitely give this one a listen.

I absolutely love it, and I normally don't even like fiction podcasts. The writing is very strong and most of the actors are very good. The meta-plot is interesting, characters are fun, and individual eps are mostly entertaining. I did find some of the seasons dragged a bit for me (especially season 3) but it's well worth pressing on.

This is exactly what I was looking for, lots of creepy tales with an overarching narrative. The music reminds me of Bloodborne, which is nice as that's my favourite game. The narrator's voice fits perfectly. If you want a lot of creepy tales, this is the one

Amazing podcast. In season 5 things start getting really intense so I recommend checking the content warnings though. Also he's promised no named animals will die which is nice knowing in advance if you're an animal lover.

I'm only on episode 38 at the time of writing this but I'm hooked! The stories are well written and narrated, with underlying music that enhances the unsettling manner of the stories. I adore the meta-plot sprinkled throughout the episodes which only serves to make the fiction seem more realistic. From the other reviews I glanced before writing mine it looks like I have more of the same quality to look forward to so here we go, into the darkness!

One of the best podcasts I've ever listened to. I'm not a huge fan of horror but this podcast hits the perfect mix of creepy and unsettling.

TSneBoo24 May 29 2020
This is far and away the best horror podcast I have ever listened to. Terrifying without relying on bad tropes rampant in the genre overall, and such incredible writing that I am simultaneously scared to death and so involved I can't turn off an episode. Amazing growing stakes over the seasons, I can't wait to keep listening.

Great podcast, I'm still enjoying the last season.

Acerzw May 28 2020
Good up until the current season, where the story has gotten bogged down in narcissistic drivel and the plot has gone out the window... A shame...

Sequoia May 26 2020
Absolutely stunning!

Love this podcast

Amazing

By far, my favorite podcast. Rich storyline and in depth characters with a delightfully creepy setting. I could listen to Johnathan Simms talk all day, and I have, after binging this podcast twice in it's entirety. Keep it coming, please!

Amazing worldbuilding that can fill anyone with existential dread. And once you get the lore of this universe, I would recommend listening to it again. There's a thrill in spotting the threads that connect it all to each other and guessing correctly some of the mysteries of this show. And I love how consistent everything is! *heart-eyes* narrative wise- 11/10 👌

Such a good podcast. Terrifying and poetic in equal measure.

Sniparo Apr 27 2020
A good show to listen to before sleeping.

morgajel Apr 25 2020
An excellent podcast with a great mix of overarching story and episodic stories. Good horror without being overly gory or terrifying. Most importantly, no jump scares.

Fearg Apr 20 2020
Great

Hitbge19 Apr 18 2020
Excellent. This is one of the first podcasts I ever listened to, and is one of only two podcasts that I've listened to in their entirety, so far. 👍

Desmontais Apr 17 2020
Phenomenal horror podcast!

Seth Apr 17 2020
One of the best horror audio drama ever !

akhmatowa Apr 16 2020
This is, without doubt, the best horror podcast out there.

SerFlowers Apr 16 2020
Excellent! Audio is great. I'd love to read these stories in a book

Rhiannon Apr 16 2020
In terms of writing, production, acting and directing this is the the best podcast I've found. I thought I was bored of podcasts with in universe recording, but this does something interesting with it.

Hester Leveret Apr 15 2020
You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll lie awake at night.

enderbro3300 Apr 15 2020
Amazing podcast! 10/10. The soundscaping and voice acting is incredible! Every new horror is painted in such horrifying detail! My favorite horror media! Better than any movie or show I've ever seen.

Windoula Apr 14 2020
One of my very favorite podcasts of all time, and definitely my favorite in the horror genre. Unlike other horror stories that I sometimes run across, it doesn't rely on gore or cheap tricks to scare you. The very structure of the story creates the sense of unease that I truly long for in this genre.
