Season 3 - Episode 1

From their east end beginnings, the Kray twins would go on to run one of the most powerful and feared criminal organisations in London. Their influence wouldn’t only be felt by the nightclubs and casinos of the capital but also some of the highest tiers of government. They were untouchable, and the Krays remain a much-remembered part of sixties culture like the celebrity icons that filled their establishments. (Part 1 of 2). This is the story of Reggie and Ronnie Kray. *** LISTENER CAUTION IS ADVISED AS THIS EPISODE CONTAINS ADULT THEMES AND DESCRIPTIONS THAT SOME LISTENERS MAY FIND DISTRESSING ***    More information can be found on our website at  For early advert free access and other extras visit  MUSIC:  With a Stamp by Twin Musicom * Push Me by Twin Musicom * Meekness by Kai Engel ** Plague by Kai Engel ** Calmant by Kevin MacLeod ** Cold War Echo by Kai Engel ** Danse Morialta by Kevin MacLeod ** Evermore by Kai Engel ** Smoother Move by Kevin MacLeod ** On the Passing of Time by Kevin MacLeod ** * Sourced from - used under an Attribution License -  ** Sourced from - used under an Attribution License -  YOU CAN FOLLOW US VIA OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES:  Twitter - Facebook -  Facebook Group -  Instagram -  Acast -   See for privacy and opt-out information.

Great UK crime podcast. I really like the voice of the narrator. He doesn't add his own opinions about the case, he just narrates it, which I like!

I try and guess each week what the story's going to be after reading the cryptic little opening and marrying it up with the great artwork....I think Ben's show is probably a very Marmite'y one and I love it. He is very serious and you'd not know what he personally thinks about each case as he gives nothing away. I like that he sticks to the UK and not all the obvious cases, either. So many he's covered I've never heard of. I like the extra-long chapters he does more of now as well.

A great podcast for UK true crime. Well considered infirmation provided. I cannot imagine how much work must go into each episode. Brilliantly presented along with the authors own atmospheric music.

One of the first podcasts I listened to, and is one of the best! Very well researched, and wonderfully narrated. Love true crime? Then you'll love this podcast.
