We do all sorts of things to satisfy our weary and thirsty souls. However, we realize that our souls can only truly be satisfied in knowing and being loved by God. If the cross happened without a resurrection, it would be a sad story. Yet, because the resurrection took place, all access to all of everything good in heaven is available for the believer. When you think about it, it’s nonsense, it’s insane to think that the God of the universe would take our punishment upon Himself and pay all our debt, our sin, simply because He loves us. Y

As Christians, one of our aims is to be like Jesus. Our Heavenly Father gave us Jesus, our savior. And Jesus was so generous with His life that He endured the cross and counted it JOY for our sake.
