Dec 05 2019 48 mins
The 6th of December 2019 marks the 30 year anniversary of the Montreal massacre, a dark day in Canadian history. It was the day that gunman Marc Lépine walked into an engineering school and shot dead 14 female students.  As he shot the women, he exclaimed that he hated feminists, and that feminists had ruined his life. This sentiment was backed up in his manifesto. A manifesto that shares a great number of themes with that of Isla Vista killer Elliot Roger, or the motivations the 2018 Toronto van killer, Alek Minnassian. But with the continued glorification and martyrdom of the likes of Lépine, Rodger and Minassian - how far have we really come? This is such an amazing podcast. It's incredibly well researched and the banter between the hosts is just perfection. PERFECTION!!

Been with this podcast from their very first outing from that cupboard under the stairs !! Update September: I've gone off this one now. The BLM stuff I'm not interested in listening to every month nowadays, which had me considering unsubscribing, and I don't know if Hannah was pissed during the Soham episode but she was even louder than usual and highly offensive too. As another reviewer mentioned, she's been pretty obnoxious since the award win. A real shame as they were among my favourites.

Best crime podcast ever. The hosts were lovely and very entertaining. No useless banter an such. Straight to the point. Amazing duo.

anakispat Aug 23 2020
The cases seem well researched and could be well delivered if the hosts didn't stop to make random and inappropriate jokes every 5 minutes. Disrespectful and distracting. Such a shame.

Love the chemistry between the hosts! Their dynamic is great and their subject matters are super interesting - although sometimes a bit much

CamdenAnna Jul 22 2020
Rubbish! You know why, loads of people say why they don't like you anymore. Too big headed. Too much fake laugh, disrespectful to people etc

One of my favorite true crime podcasts! The hosts make this show absolutely epic. I love these two and the topics/crimes they cover.

franhay90 Jun 01 2020
My all time favourite podcast and the one which opened the door to my love of crime podcasts. Love H&S and their relatable tangents but they balance this well with thorough research and great storytelling. I'm also a patreon for the podcast as I wanted to support the hosts in what they do, plus I always want more content!

Donz May 15 2020
Disappointed. It had so much potential. I listened to the first half of the Gabe Toste episode but had to turn It off as I felt like I was disrespectful to the victim listening to her last night. The hosts kept going off on unrelated tangents and their obvious bias made it a very one sided and boring account.

Krissa Apr 25 2020
These woman are fun to listen to - funny with just the right amount of bite, but always appropriate to the subject matter, which tends to have a domestic violence focus. That itself is to be applauded, as it's probably the single most ignored, under-recognized, and arguably destructive issue in our culture. So this podcast is a great way to get yourself woke to that, and you'll never be bored listening.

kpitt Apr 25 2020
My favorite true crime podcast. Listening to this is like hanging out with your friends. Love it!!
