In The Word (1 Corinthians) - Washed, Sanctified, Justified
May 18 2020
In 1 Corinthians, 6, Paul reminds the Corinthians that just because you are saved and a Christian does not mean you can live any way that you want. Before your faith in Christ, you willingly walked in sin and were owned by those things. However, through Christ, sin no longer has authority over you. As Christians, we are declared righteous in Jesus. As followers of Christ, we are washed, sanctified, and justified because Jesus was crucified and laid down His life for us. We cannot let our flesh rule our lives. Because of our new life in Christ, we are ruled by Christ who has washed, sanctified, and justified us. Be reminded that we are no longer slaves to sin through Christ. In Christ, we are washed, sanctified, and justified.
