Penn State retains major piece for the playoff and beyond

The Penn State coaching staff retained a key part of its makeup on Monday evening when offensive coordiantor Andy Kotelnicki announced that he was staying with the program. West Virginia was reportedly after the first-year coordinator in recent days. We'll discuss the impact of having Kotelnicki stay with the program for the postseason run and beyond.

We'll also discuss the possibility of Penn State keeping quarterback Drew Allar and Kotelnicki together for one more season. Reporters Sean Fitz and Nate Bauer will discuss what they know of the situation as it unfolded and what you should expect from coordinators who find success, such as Kotelnicki.

Fitz's recruiting update

Friday was a busy day for the Nittany Lions. Even before the team kicked off against Oregon on Saturday, the team secured several wins over the weekend. Andrew Olesh, a four-star tight end and top player in Pennsylvania, chose Penn State on Friday afternoon. What does it mean for the program to flip the top player in the state from rival Michigan? Fitz will also discuss the impact of 2026 wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford, who also committed on Friday.

Finally, there's one outstanding commitment left in the Class of 2025. Quarterback Bryce Baker has yet to make a decision on his future, with North Carolina delaying its decision on a new head coach. Fitz will discuss the impact of the delay and its effect on Penn State's chances to land the Elite 11 finalist.
