Storms have been heading west through Ipswich and the Lockyer Valley as deluge continued in the aftermath of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, leading to flash flooding in the early hours of this morning.

Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding told Bill McDonald on 4BC's Special Coverage "We are expecting a peak this afternoon from the BOM, so there will be flooding of homes and businesses."
