PlayMD is a pair of physician-improvisers, based in the Philippines, who are advocates of medical improvisation. Their goal is to help improve collaborative, communication, and cognitive pathways using improvised play.
Medical improv, according to Belinda Fu, is "the study and practice of improv theater philosophy and techniques applied to the unique challenges and environment of healthcare for the benefit of improved health and well-being providers and patients."
