“Creating an experience for the listener is my ultimate goal. I use all of myself. All my body, mind, heart and soul.”   This week Myki talks to April Henry, a well-rounded artist who shares with us the first poem she wrote (age 8 about world peace) and the first song she penned ("Don't You Cry" at age 11).  April even gave us all a simple breathing exercise similar to the ones she teaches her vocal students, and ended this episode with singing in Japanese!

April is a singer, actor, vocal coach who sings in a variety of languages: Japanese, Bulgarian, Spanish, Italian, French, German, mostly English. Growing up in the marshlands of South Florida, April appreciated the natural beauty of the tropics, but knew there was a much bigger world for her to explore. Singing as a little girl, she had watched her parents perform from the wings of the Grand Ole Opry. April was hooked ever since. Visit her website at: http://www.aprilhenrymusic.com/
