Part two of this episode explores the lived experience of the Garifuna in Belize. President of the National Garifuna Council Sheena Zuniga, captures the impact of climate change and culture loss on Garifuna communities. In addition to supporting climate adaptation projects, the NGC plays an important role in collectively addressing structural issues on behalf of the Garifuna communities. This indigenous perspective enhances understanding of how cultural identity is strongly connected to climate action and the pursuit of climate justice.
