We sit down with the hilarious and talented film director Riffy Ahmed. She recently graduated with an MA in Directing Fiction from the National Film and Television School in London. Riffy reflects on her journey from photography at university to filmmaking. She speaks openly on how her previous relationship impacted her decision to pursue directing, her fears of not being good enough and her love of spirituality for keeping her grounded and centred. We speak about her recent project Al Sarab inspired by her uncle’s life story that unravels religion, family dynamics and reuniting.
