Many Disney fans know that Walt Disney's cherished hometown of Marceline, Missouri played an integral role in his life, and therefore the products the company produced. Most also know that Main Street USA in Disneyland is inspired, in part, by Kansas Avenue in Marceline (since renamed Mainstreet USA). We are joined by Sumner Nesbitt from Walt Disney Hometown Museum to discuss his fandom, his unique connection with Walt Disney, and what it is like to work at the Museum and live in Marceline. This visit was a lot of fun, I learned a lot, and video is available at https://youtu.be/i82EccrNoD8?si=z8flunCY76NYCgsf.

Being a Fan of Disney: The Book is available on Amazon in Kindle, Paperback, Hardback, and Audible versions at https://a.co/d/j03Qev3. This has been a passion project of mine for a long time and I am very happy that it is now available for others to read! I hope you enjoy and please engage with the book and activities on www.SharedPerspectives.org.

I also want to announce a new project I am working on 'The Perspectives Files' that is available by episodes on Kindle Vella. This is a way for me to write about the importance of people's perspectives and the research that I do in a fun and entertaining way. Please visit Kindle Vella to read this young adult novel as it is being produced and let me know your thoughts on the story. You may also recognize some of the characters in the book from Being a Fan of Disney: The Podcast!

You can follow along the class, podcast, Take 1 episodes, and interviews/visits by subscribing to the show wherever you get your podcasts, following me on Instagram and Threads @cody.havard, by joining the Facebook public group @BeingaFanofDisney, and by visiting www.SharedPerspectives.org.

Please come along with us on our adventure!
