Identity economics is a branch of economics that explores how our identities influence our economic decisions. It argues that people can be motivated by a desire to maintain a consistent sense of self, which in turn means that our identities can play a role in determining our choices about work, consumption, and other economic activities. So how can generative AI – and other technologies and change drivers – impact the evolution of an identity economy across life, society, and enterprise?
