About Your Speaker:
B.Sc, MA Counselling, OACCPP Alyson Schafer is a family counselor, TV personality, columnist, spokesperson, educator, and consultant. She is one of Canada’s most notable parenting experts. Alyson is the resident expert on these national outlets: HuffPost Parents, The Marilyn Denis Show, CTV News Channel, and Canada. She is the best-selling author of Breaking The Good Mom Myth and Honey, I Wrecked The Kids, and her latest, Ain’t Misbehavin’. Her books have been translated into Russian, Korean, Bulgarian, and Chinese. She is an international speaker including the inaugural TEDxKids in Belgium and recent speaking tours in Uruguay and Bulgaria. Mary-Anne Popescu is the Executive Director of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM). As an OAFM Accredited Family and Elder Mediator, and Child Protection Mediator in private practice, she works to bring peaceful resolutions that help families adapt to challenges and changes across the life cycle. Mary-Anne is also a roster mediator for the Office of Independent Police Review Director (OIPRD), and the Ministry of Government and Consumer Affairs.
