Yasser Qous is the executive director of the African Community Society, a grass-roots centre which serves the needs of the Afro-Palestinian community in Jerusalem.
He is also currently a master's student at the Department of History and Civilisation at the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris. His research interests revolve around the social history of Palestine, with a focus on the historical development of the Afro-Palestinian community in Jerusalem.
As such, he has written and spoken extensively on the topic and has published his work in Cairn International and the Goethe Institute as well as participated in interviews on behalf of the Afro-Palestinian community with major news outlets such as the Jerusalem Post.
