From a pragmatic point of view, a door usually belongs to at least one room and provides access or exit to this room or the transition from one room to another. They can be closed or open and some can be closed with a locking mechanism so that they can only be opened if the right key is available. However, a door also has a deeper figurative meaning. In life, doors can be open or closed for decisions or implementation steps, or they can close and open again. As mentioned, doors are also places of transition. Nobody usually stays at or under a door for any length of time, and yet they are often crucial as a place of transfer. They are the visible place of the no longer and not yet. And they are places of decision: do I go through the door or not, they are quasi binary - something that no longer seems to be popular in our time because people prefer to live with many options.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
