An aircraft needs a propulsion system so that it can take off and fly. It must be powerful enough to make the entire weight of the aircraft, including the load, fly. Care is taken to make the aircraft as light as possible so that the propulsion system can be used efficiently. Nevertheless, in addition to the active part of the propulsion system, there are predominantly passive parts on the aircraft, such as the fuselage, wings, rudder, etc. From a purely rational point of view, one could now say that the aircraft should be reduced to the active parts that make flying possible in the first place and all passive parts should be removed. But the engine alone would not take off and fly. The passive parts, which are designed to enable flight thanks to the laws of aerodynamics, are also essential. It's the same in society: we need active, creative people - but passive people also have a right to exist and contribute to the viability of society.
