God is the one who refines us - hebrews 4:12-13 refinement is for purification - isaiah 1:18-19, 25-27 the refining comes with trial/testing and the removal of things in us that are not of God - malachi 3:2-5 the boast of the trial is that is produces genuine faith - 1 peter 5:6-7 We must stay close to the Lord in our times of trial - Zechariah:13:9 be humble, alert and reliant on God in your times of testing - 1 peter 5:6-11
