From Barcelona originally, Living in Ireland for the last 13 years, Mireia is a qualified primary school teacher with a MA in Educational Psychology, a QQI level 6 in Therapeutic play skills and mum to 2 children.

Mireia founded Discovery Playtime, an Irish business that promotes the power of play through family events, play sessions, summer camps and an online shop with hundreds of high quality educational and sensory toys. She also hosts the ‘Rediscovering Childhood’ podcast and provides teacher training sessions to fulfill the needs of an evolving community towards a more experiential system.

Mireia believes play is the main language for all children and we should support them by providing the right tools and environment which is essential for their development.
