“If I told my story, I had already won.” - Stacy Ann Parish | If we have learned anything in a post-Barbie movie world, it is that women's voices are so incredibly important to listen to. And their stories need to be heard. Their experiences are not only valuable but necessary to learn, grow, and strengthen ourselves as a community. You, your voice, and your stories are just as important. But, expressing yourself and using your voice can be a very scary thing to do. I think a lot of us will be able to relate to that - especially if you identify as a woman. And maybe even more so if you are in another marginalized community or have experienced trauma yourself. I was so inspired listening to Stacy talk about overcoming her own fear of using her voice to go on and win a very intimidating women’s storytelling contest. I knew her wisdom would help you too - and that is right where we will begin the interview. Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@rootandrisepodcast
