In this episode, we explore Alex’s early years working as the solo general dentist within the Alfred Hospital, his journey of specialisation into Periodontics, tips for managing periodontal disease as a general dentist and the vision behind and makings of GDR (General Dental Residency).
Dr. Alex, graduated top of his class at the University of Adelaide, before pursuing advanced studies in Periodontics at the University of Melbourne. His interests include oral systemic health links and pre-restorative and orthodontic periodontal surgery. Dr. Alex is co-director of ITI Malvern and part of the Australian Society of Periodontology. Serving as the Director of General Dental Residency, he passionately educates graduate dentists and oral health therapists.
