This chapter begins with a word to the shepherd, those of us who are shepherding God’s people: We need to be conscious of the fact that we’re in a spiritual battle. We need to be reminded of that. We also need to be reminded of how we’re to wage this warfare. And as Paul tells us, it’s not a battle against flesh and blood, and the weapons of our warfare aren’t merely human.
