Podcast Addict has been supporting chapters for a while. Those chapters can be set in the RSS feed or embedded in the episode audio file.
Unfortunately very few podcast are using chapters.
However, it looks like a lot more podcasts are providing time stamp to different part of the episode in their show notes.
Podcast Addict already convert those time stamps into links so you can press on them to quickly jump to a specific section of the episode, but this new version will also create chapters from those time stamps.
This will show the current chapter title on the player screen, widget, notification, and on Android Auto. You will also be able to mute in advance some chapters, and quickly navigate between chapters
This version adds a new global (applied to every subscription by default) setting that will allows you to set a percentage after which the app should consider that playback of the current episode is completed.
Once the progress reaches this percentage, any action on the fast forward button will automatically skip the remaining time of the episode and process the episode as if it was fully listened to before skipping to the next episode in the list.
If you don't press on the fast forward button, then the app will keep playing the episode until the end.
Of course this can still be customized by podcast.
